Meeting an aggressive design schedule and completing construction by the mid-November opening were essential to accommodate traffic generated by the 1.2 million square foot Colorado Mills Mall. Muller met these goals with design of over four miles of urban arterial reconstruction / widening on West Colfax Avenue and Indiana Street and reconstruction of the Indiana Street/6th Avenue (US 6) Interchange.

Denver's Channel 7 traffic helicopter was over Colorado Mills on opening day. The reporter commented, "Looks like someone has finally got it right."
