The Landmark Irrigation Pump Station and Reservoir supplies non-potable irrigation water through the District’s dual water supply system to the residential and commercial customers in the District’s service area north of 96th Avenue. The station is located on the east side of Landmark Drive at 102nd Place in Commerce City, Colorado.
Muller Engineering Company completed preliminary and final designs, and provided bid and construction phase engineering services for this $8M project consisting of a booster pump station, and a buried 4 MG concrete storage reservoir. The pump station includes a 20-foot below-ground pump room that houses 10 horizontal split case booster pumps, suction and discharge piping, on-site sodium hypochlorite generation system, a new SCADA control system room, electrical room, mechanical room, bathroom, garage area, and overhead bridge crane. The project also included design and construction of the on-site transmission lines, drainage facilities, site grading, and an emphasis on landscaping and architecture to integrate the project into the characteristics of the surrounding neighborhood. Irregular contouring of the ground around the reservoir and the architecture of the pump station building gives the site an appearance that blends in with the surrounding community.
