Stormwater Project Manager

This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly-skilled stormwater professional who wishes to be part of our expanding team.  We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment to successfully deliver Muller’s numerous stormwater projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee design and analysis of stormwater improvements such as culverts and storm drains, detention facilities, water quality features, and stream restoration/stabilization measures
  • Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies, scour analyses, erosion and sediment control planning, and environmental permitting
  • Oversee and assist in preparation of studies, reports, construction drawings/plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of stormwater design and planning projects
  • Oversee construction engineering oversight services
  • Prepare project work scopes, fee estimates, schedules, and delivery of plans
  • Deliver high quality projects on time and within budget
  • Guide project teams and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
  • Lead marketing efforts in securing new work
  • Nurture long-term client relationships
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 9-17 years of experience in the design of stormwater improvements such as culverts and storm drains, detention facilities, water quality features, stream restoration/stabilization measures, and experience with associated hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies, scour analyses, erosion and sediment control planning, and assistance with environmental permitting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
  • A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs that support our client’s overall project goals
  • Knowledge and experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, CUHP, SWMM, culvert/open channel design tools, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation) and other applicable software common to the field of stormwater engineering
  • Experience with Mile High Flood District (MHFD) criteria
  • Experience with construction engineering oversight processes and procedures
  • Experience working with MHFD and other front range jurisdictions in Colorado
Required License or Certification: 
  • Colorado Professional Engineer License or ability to transfer a license from another state

Salary range for this position is: $105,000/yr - $130,000/yr dependent on experience
