We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment to successfully deliver Muller’s numerous stormwater projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.
- Oversee design and analysis of stormwater improvements such as culverts and storm drains, detention facilities, water quality features, and stream restoration/stabilization measures
- Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies, scour analyses, erosion and sediment control planning, and environmental permitting
- Oversee and assist in preparation of studies, reports, construction drawings/plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of stormwater design and planning projects
- Oversee construction engineering oversight services
- Prepare project work scopes, fee estimates, schedules, and delivery of plans
- Deliver high quality projects on time and within budget
- Guide project teams and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
- Lead marketing efforts in securing new work
- Nurture long-term client relationships
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
- 9-17 years of experience in the design of stormwater improvements such as culverts and storm drains, detention facilities, water quality features, stream restoration/stabilization measures, and experience with associated hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies, scour analyses, erosion and sediment control planning, and assistance with environmental permitting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs that support our client’s overall project goals
- Knowledge and experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, CUHP, SWMM, culvert/open channel design tools, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation) and other applicable software common to the field of stormwater engineering
- Experience with Mile High Flood District (MHFD) criteria
- Experience with construction engineering oversight processes and procedures
- Experience working with MHFD and other front range jurisdictions in Colorado
- Colorado Professional Engineer License or ability to transfer a license from another state

Salary range for this position is: $105,000/yr - $130,000/yr dependent on experience
