SMOKY HILL ROAD CORRIDOR STUDY

Centennial, Colorado

A book cover featuring a green line, highlighting its unique projects.

Muller performed a transportation study of Smoky Hill Road between Buckley Road and Versailles Parkway. The existing roadway is a four-lane arterial northwest of Buckley Road. The key purpose of this study was to evaluate the corridor to consider future widening from a four-lane to a six-lane arterial without significant changes to the existing right-of-way (ROW) limits. The extent of the study area is approximately 2.8 miles along Smoky Hill Road within the City of Centennial city limits from Buckley Road on the north to Liverpool Street on the south. Another section to be included within the study lies outside of Centennial’s city limits, from Liverpool to Versailles Parkway. Both travel directions were included in the corridor study. The results of the study included a prioritized list of improvements, concept plan, and construction cost estimates.
