South Platte River at 70th

Commerce City, Colorado

A book cover featuring a green line, highlighting its unique projects.

The Muller stormwater and structures group assisted the Mile High Flood District and Commerce City to repair a large diameter storm sewer outfall along the South Platter River near I-76 to make the waterway healthy, safe, and resilient. Improvements included a new concrete headwall/wingwall, outfall channel improvements, grading, repairing existing river bank stabilization, and revegetation.

The project was constructed by Naranjo Civil Constructors with support from Habitat Management Environmental & Natural Resources Services. Muller was supported in design by Topographic Land Surveyors (survey), Pinyon Environmental (permitting), and Matrix (ecological).
